Back Story

ODEM exists because of the Grace of God and a woman's tenacity that enabled her to continue to rework, change, and rebrand different areas of the company into practical service offerings. ODEM offers its services to the public based on strong ethical beliefs, positive business principles, and a passion for social entrepreneurship. These services span six (6) different businesses that make up the Group.   The business enterprises are ODEM Brands (Product Development), ODEM Business Consulting (Business Development and Training), ODEM Creative Media (Advertising and Digital Media), ODEM Community (Agri-Business and Community Tourism), ODEM Foundation (Social Change), and ODEM Publishing (Book and Magazine Publications).  The businesses operate independently or connected and are not only viable but are of benefit to society. 

ODEM Group started as an idea in 2005, while our founder Stacy-Ann Wilson freelanced on a part-time basis. The idea was put on hold for several years as she gained much-needed exposure and experience across FMCG and the advertising industry.   It was during her time in a traditional advertising company that she had an epiphany of what she terms "What's wrong with advertising..." This, she explains, is a lack of strategy beyond momentary impactful messages, and was something she sought to fix by creating a model that would "marry strategy and creativity to fuel business success."   After a long and arduous learning curve that resulted in some failed projects, in 2014, her vision and model began to take shape, and the ODEM Group of Companies became formalized.  Over the next few years, she continued to leverage her freelancing relationships and service-oriented attitude to attract business. To date, the company has maintained a small man attitude to relationships and service where every business encounter matters. This approach, alongside a conglomerate vision where high output and productivity is paramount, aids the Group's operation in the unique niche, it created.
 
The company is semi-virtual with an extended team, made up of Designers, Consultants, Entrepreneurs, Trainers, and Facilitators who are either contracted on a full-time basis or act as an outsource partner when the need arises. Operating in the marketing and consulting sector is both challenging and exciting, our model pulls together talent from across the world, and we actively partner with other industry experts to fulfill our clients' needs based on a high value, low-cost structure.  Our central teams operate from Trinidad and Jamaica, with our administrative office based in Jamaica.  Together we aim to use our products and services to "Establish Heritage" that will influence the world in the areas of business, media, arts, entertainment, education, and local communities.
